Depois foi a minha vez de retribuir.
E aqui está o quão lindo ficou … pelo menos nela, sem dúvida.

O Sol brilha

O Sol brilha sobre mim, directamente vindo de Norte. Isto é sério, eu sei que esta é uma cidade de loucos mas eu não estou louca, ainda! Cosntruiram uma torre de vidro do outro lado da rua que reflete a luz do Sol a uma certa hora do dia e entra directamente pela claraboia a Norte do atelier, e brilha sobre mim. Hummmm, sabe tão bem!

The Sun is shinning on me, directly from North side. I’m serious, I know this is a crazy city but I’m not crazy, yet. They built a glass tower on the other side of the street, and at a certain point of the day the Sun light shines on the glass and reflects and get straight through the North side skylight of the office. Feels goooood!

A quantidade de pessoas que uma cidade destas tem permite-nos ver muita gente bonita, gente feia e gente louca também. Eu acho que se vê umas ou outras dependendo de como nos sentimos nesse dia. Este pensamento assaltou-me no outro dia, quando ia no metro , em direcção à Canal Street, dei comigo rodeada de gente louca! Também devo ser doida, não posso acreditar que era a única “normal” ali.
Está na altura de pensar em deixar NY, enquanto é tempo de recuperar alguma “normalidade”

The amount of people that a city like this carries allow us to see a lot of beautiful people, ugly people and crazy people also. I think you will see more of each depending of how you feel that day. This thought came in the other day, while I was in the subway, going to downtown Canal Street, I found everyone around me like crazy people!!! I must be crazy also, I can’t believe I was the only one “normal” around.
Time to think about leaving NY, while I’m in time to get back to some king of “normalness”.

Este blog corre um sério risco de se tornar num blog tipo “knitting around ny”.
Quem me dera ter montes de ideias sobre ny, mas ultimamente o meu mundo tem um novo fascínio.
Esta é a minha loja favorita, imaginem que é mesmo ao lado do meu trabalho! Aqui posso encontrar todas as cores, feitios, espessuras de malhas, agulhas de tricot e de crochet, e mais que tudo, muitos doidos como eu a tricotar!
Os fãs da modalidade juntam-se á volta da mesa á hora do almoço para tricotar! Aprendemos juntos, trocamos ideias sobre os nossos projectos e se não temos cuidado saímos da loja com mais alguns novelos novos!

This blog is it at a serious risk to turn into a “knitting around ny” kind of blog.
I wish I would have tons of ideas to talk about ny, but lately my world have a new fascination.
This is my favorite store, can you imagine that is right next to my work?! Here I can find all the colors, shapes, thickness of yarns, needles, hooks, and most of all, all these crazy people that knits and crochets!
People get together around the table at lunch time, and knit! We learn together, talk about our knitting projects, have some more nice ideas, and if you are not careful, you end buying few more yarns!

I love it!

É Inverno.
Eu cofesso que tenho saudades das minhas botas e das camisolas quentinhas, mas preferia pensar que não ficaria cansada de as usar. O Inverno aqui é demasiado longo e o Verão este ano foi apenas uma semana. Não estou preparada para isto! Tenho que me lembrar que pelo menos os Invernos de NY não são assim tão cinzentos e o Sol brilha algumas vezes. Entretanto, vou me aquecendo com alguns projectos novos de tricot, isto está a tornar-se um verdadeiro vício!


It’s Winter!
I confess that I miss boots and the warm sweaters, but I would like to think that I wouldn’t get tired of them. Winter here is too long and Summer this year was only a week. I’m not prepared for this. I must remember all times that at least NY Winters are not that grey, and sun shines few times. In the mean time, I get warm with some more knitting projects, this is getting a serious addiction!

A primeira vez que as vi aqui decidi que seria capaz de as fazer, nessa altura ainda nem sabia o que eram agulhas de tricot de dupla ponta. Não foi facil, confesso, e algumas delas serviram apenas como teste…consegui à terceira vez! Para principiante posso me considerar feliz com o resultado.
De qualquer modo não me parece que repita a experiência, tentarei algo mais simples para a próxima.


The first time I saw them here I decided that I would be able to do them, by that time I didn’t know what was a double pointed knitting needle, yet. It was not easy, I confess, and there was few of them that worked as a test...I did at my third time! For a beginner I can feel happy with the result.
In any case I don’t feel like repeating this experience again, I will look for something easier next time.
