Cair nas escadas do metro, cheia de sacos e com um filho pelas mãos, não tem piada nenhuma!

Primeiro porque ninguém quer saber, até podem perguntar “ está bem?”, mas assim que que percebem que podes falar e pegar no telemóvel, simplesmente vão-se embora! Segundo, porque, enquanto estás à espera de ajuda (e o meu maridinho veio me salvar), fica-se ali, sentado nas escadas mais imundas, ao frio… -6 C …bbbbbrrrrrrr

Terceiro, porque sabes que isto é só o inicio….oh shit happens!

Bem, mas como bom português posso dizer, bem, podia ter sido pior! Não está partido, só uma ligeira rachadela, e vou ficar em casa apenas por uma semana! “Podia ter sido pior!”

Falling on the subway stairs, full of bags and with a son it’s not funny at all!

First because no one cares much, they may ask: “are you ok?!” and as soon as they see you can talk and you are looking for your cell phone, they just leave!

Second, because, while you wait for your rescue (and by husband came back to rescue me), you just stay there, sitting on the most dirty stairs, on the cold …. With 21 F…bbbrrrrrr

Third, because you know that is just the beginning…oh shit happens!

Well as good typical Portuguese I can say, well, it was not so bad! It’s not broken, just a little crack, and I will have to stay home for a week!

creating roots

Depois de algumas semanas no Soho, alguns meses por Midtown e algumas potenciais ofertas entre Union Square, Midtown and Downtown… aqui estou eu! Espero que agora seja para criar raizes. Descobri que não há sitio perfeito, pessoas ou trabalho, há sempre um balanço a encontrar e com certeza memórias passdas que nos mostram como dar o passo seguinte.

Entretanto, tenho tido muita sorte, há sempre um lugar à minha espera mesmo ao pé da janela!

 

After a few weeks in Soho, few months in Midtown and few  potentials offers between Union Square, Midtown and Downtown …here I am! Hope is to create some roots now.

I found there is no perfect place, people or work, there is always a balance to be found and for sure past memories that shows us how to take the next step.

In the men time, I have been very lucky, there is always a spot waiting for me, right next to the window!
